On Saturday, October 14th the Connecticut Parent Advocacy Center hosted a conference entitled “Creating Possibilities When a Child Learns Differently.” Over 200 students, parents, teachers and future teachers attended to hear writer and speaker Jonathan Mooney discuss his struggles and accomplishments as a student with learning disabilities. In addition to Jonathan Mooney’s humorous and honest presentation, attendees also had the opportunity to hear four Connecticut students with learning differences speak about their personal stories and experiences. CPAC thanks everyone who helped make this conference such a success. We look forward to seeing you at future events.
