CPAC Friends and Family Summer Picnic Photo Gallery 2008

Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2008 CPAC Friends and Family Summer Picnic at Camp Harkness a huge success!  We would like to especially thank the Lyme-Old Lyme Junior Women's Club for their generous donation which helped to fund Karen Clark's yoga demonstration as well as much of the wonderful food.  We would also like to thank those families who chose to bring desserts and other food to share at the picnic.  Your generosity is very much appreciated.

This year's picnic had a record 272 people in attendance!  We hope everyone enjoyed the wonderful weather and the beautiful water at the beach as well as the Mystic Aquarium touch tanks and yoga with Karen Clark.

The Friends and Family Summer Picnic is CPAC's annual Next STEPS Parent Advisor recognition event.  This year, 25 Parent Advisors attended.  Next STEPS is a 9-hour training program for parents and professionals who are interested in learning about special education so that they can better advocate for their own children and also provide information and support to families with children who have special needs in their communities.  Thank you, Parent Advisors, for the work that you do to help other parents and families in Connecticut.

Below are a few snapshots from the picnic.  If you have any stories you'd like to share with us about your experiences at the picnic, please let us know.  Feel free to email us at cpac@cpacinc.org.  We look forward to hearing from you!
