In this changing world of education and special education, we hope that this section of our website provides reliable, accurate, and up-to-date information about a variety of issues relating to the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (No Child Left Behind).

The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB), calls for a radical change to the American Education system as we know it. With the passage of, NCLB, Congress reauthorized the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA)--the principal federal law governing education in the United States. This new law is built on four common-sense pillars:

• An emphasis on doing what works

• Expanded parental options

• Expanded local control and flexibility
